EVPOWER and TELD Mark Strategic Partnership to Accelerate Electric Vehicle Infrastructure in Malaysia

Ltd., China's largest enabler of charge points and EV charger manufacturer. The strategic alliance was formalized during a signing ceremony at Malaysia Autoshow 2024 in HALL A MAEPS, Serdang, marking a significant step forward in the collaboration between the two companies. This partnership aligns with Malaysia's National Automotive Policy (NAP) 2020, which emphasizes the development of a comprehensive EV ecosystem to promote sustainable mobility.

By leveraging its local expertise and strong partnerships with leading banks, property management companies, housing developers, and local councils, EVPower is poised to significantly boost Malaysia's EV infrastructure. This collaboration, combined with TELD's global experience, will enhance the convenience, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of EV charging solutions across the country. EVPower aims not just to deploy EV chargers but to become an enabler of quality and affordable EV charging solutions, driving the future of electric mobility in Malaysia. Notably, EVPower is the first charge point operator in Malaysia to adopt a card acceptance payment method, allowing users to pay without the need for an app, reflecting the company's continuous focus on enhancing customer experience.

EVPower is also set to further strengthen its presence in Malaysia by investing heavily in several ultra-fast charging stations at highway rest and service areas (RSAs). Planning and development for the first of these stations will commence in June 2024, with more than six additional stations currently in the approval stages. Each charging station will feature no less than four bays and offer charging speeds of up to 480kW, significantly enhancing the charging infrastructure for long- distance EV travelers. Additionally, EVPower is open to collaboration with the public who wish to be part of the EV space through its zero-capex program to deploy ultra-fast chargers. In just a year of operating in Malaysia, EVPower has successfully deployed the first 100 chargers in the country and is targeting to deploy 200 or more by the end of 2024. This rapid expansion underscores EVPower's commitment to building a robust and accessible EV charging network across Malaysia.

EVPower will invest extra effort in establishing a dedicated training center and several educational programs aimed at educating technicians and operators on the latest EV charging systems and maintenance practices.
